My Love

So it's been a week..or two,  but who's counting? Not a whole lot going on really. Just been trying to get back into working out. I basically have to draag myself there. I wish the Club would call me after missing about 3 days and say "Hey you're still FAT! Get back in here!" I'm pretty sure that would keep me motivated. I went to Southern with a guy name Justin Parker and he has an aggressive form of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This is an exert of the challenge on Facebook and little bit about what's going to happen....
On Aug 17th I will receive a high dosage of chemotherapy over the course of 6-7 days which will hopefully destroy the cancer in my chest but regardless of what happens my immune system will be destroyed and I will be without the ability to fight even the common cold. In order to rescue my immune system my stem cells have been collected from my body and will be given back to me one day after the chemo is finished. Once my stem cells are transfused back into my body it will take up to 14 days before the stem cells graft back into the bones and begin working properly producing red & white blood cells. During this time I will be in strict isolation forced to wear gloves and a mask, needless to say the entire ordeal will be rough. However, if it works it will be worth it!
I offer this challenge to you if choose to accept: Apart from offering your prayers I want you to commit to walking, jogging, biking or swimming at least once a day while I’m in the hospital. From the day I start the high dose chemo until my immune system grafts to my body once more. If all goes well the process may take a couple weeks or it may take a month or more if there are complications. You will have the opportunity each day to donate miles to me to let me know that you are supporting me during this trying time. The more miles that I receive the more encouraged I will feel to fight through the toughest challenge of my life.
I'm going to accept the challenge and until he has recovered- I will hopefully be able to keep to this challenge. Pray for him as he is about to be very very sick. He has already had a partial lung removal and I think a round of radiation and chemo before so in all keep him in your prayers. I think that is all that I have to say.. I could go on about how I had a not so good day/week etc. but what good would that do after just posting this?
